Super lightweight, nice small rip-stop pattern for strength. Pockets are great. Dries quickly and breaks wind too. Only drawback, a bit baggy on the bottom, which catches brush and allows ticks easier access. I actually had someone taper the bottom so I don't have to tuck them in whenever I hike. It wasn't bad, just needed perfection lol. Great value, and so far have resisted my dog's nails and brush.

Very comfortable and lightweight - you hardly feel it on while wearing The removable zip-off pants come in handy if you visit a museum / church / mosque / temple / government facility that does allow shorts, but is otherwise located in a warm climate.

These are the ultimate pants for skateboarding and mountain biking. I like them so much that I bought 2 more pair (dark grey and sage green). I went one size up so that I can wear protective gear underneath. Luckily I did because they run slightly tighter around the waist. As for the length, they run long but I don't mind it.For skateboarding, these pants are extremely breathable and so far I haven't had the need to unzip the legs. At the skate park, I've fallen and slid on these pants several times and they haven't ripped yet. The best part about these pants is the fabric material. The fabric has the ability to capture cold breeze and help cool you down, kinda feels like wearing pajama bottoms.For mountain biking, I can unzip the pant legs and easily slide on / slide off my knee and shin guards. Also there's no restriction in movement when you wear protective gear underneath. Unlike my expensive mountain biking pants, putting on protective gear underneath is cumbersome because they design them like skinny jeans.Hope this helps.

These pants are amazing! I bought one pair and then bought two more pair cause I loved them so well! The material used has a stretchy feel to it with a slight rough but comfortable texture to the outside of the pants and the pants feel so comfortable to wear. I love how the pants fit to the legs although sometimes I wish the main bottom part of the legs didn’t become as narrow but you get use to it and they still feel amazing. The upper pockets are loose and allow plenty of rooms for your hands or smaller items and the back pocket the same. The velcrow on the back packets worry me that some day it could easily come off with use and the stretchy part of the waist makes the pants very comfortable around the waist. The side pockets fit well with the style of pants but there isn’t a lot of room there but again giving off a sleek and narrow like style these pants are amazing! So far in light misty rain the pants stayed dry. Usually wear these fishing and they do great for what I bought them for.

Bought these for a fishing trip to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. Sizing matches my normal pants size. These are lightweight and very comfortable. Convert to shorts and back to long pants easily...just mark one zipper so it goes back on the correct pants leg ( I just scratched some pant off the zipper handle ). They dry quickly, the zippers on the pockets worked great to keep my Iphone handy for pictures. Highly recommend these !

Hello...wife here of 5'11" 200lb husband. We're going on an eco trip to Costa Rica & the rainforests soon and he needed new convertible hiking pants. He's owned/worn hiking pants for as long as we've been married (25 yrs) but he's alway purchased them from brick & mortar stores after trying them on, so there was never a problem with fit.I just need to say here that I was ALSO looking for convertible hiking pants. I've only owned one pair in my life (which i hated cuz they were an ill fit so I never wore them). I didn't want to spend a lot so I ordered mine from Amazon. I went through FIVE PAIRS people and STILL didn't find a pair that fit. Something was usually wrong: The length, the width, the shorts after the pant legs were removed, the "camel toe," the waist, the hips, you name it! It was a disaster and an utter failure trying to find just one suitable pair.Why am I telling you about me and women's pants? Because after my experience, I ordered these convertible hiking pants with hubby as a last minute long shot since hubby informed me that he can't find his last pair of hiking pants. He's normally a size 33x30 or 34x 30. I ordered him size 34 (in 2 colors, light grey and light blue) as that ordering by waist size was the only option available. I looked at the size guide and it says size 34 is 29.5" in the inseam so I crossed my fingers that these would be "long enough" for him. TBH, I had very low expectations for these. Based on my own experience buying pants from Amazon (made in China) for myself, I was already preparing that these will be returned. But for 1/3 of the price I pay for his other name brand hiking pants, I was suckered into taking a chance.They arrived yesterday and I made him put them on immediately so that I could return them on my way to the grocery store in 30 min. HOLY COW what have we here? Not only did these pants fit him PERFECTLY in the waist and length, his normally FLAT ASS looked A-MAZING. I was literally in disbelief. I told him to unzip the legs so we could see the shorts cuz surely there was going to be a catch. These pants can't possibly be perfect with the shorts as well. And....guess what. The shorts fit him exactly the way he liked them: Kinda slim fit to his thighs and hit above the knee. He looked fantastic in these pants.Even the cut was flattering! The pant legs didn't look like columns from waist to hem like the women's pants do. These are gently tapered so they're slightly narrower at the hem than at the top. Y'know, they way casual dude pants are supposed to be. And like I said, they're the right length. They cover the top of his foot exactly with a slight fold of extra fabric. So when he wears his Merrell hiking shoes, the length will be exactly what it's supposed to be.Desperate to find something wrong with these pants, I looked on the inside at the stitching. Surely the stitching had to be crappy so that they would rip right away. Nope. No luck there either. It was a double stitch all around. I made him squat and bend and TRY to rip the pants open and he couldn't. The pockets were in the right spots and the colors were ideal. Well, ideal for him as he doesn't currently have pants in these colors but not ideal for me because if you knew my hubby, he's gonna get these pants dirty easily. If not from hiking, from the Cheeto dust that he gets on his fingers and wipes on his pants.So, I'm here to tell you that a) I'm super jealous that on first try, we were able to find him economical hiking pants from Amazon that fit him like they were custom made, and b) well, I'm just super jealous.I'm not sure if these pants will fit on every size of dude, but if anything, it's way easier for my hubby and his body shape to fit into hiking pants off Amazon than it is was for me. Life is so unfair.
