08-03-2026I have spent too much of my adult life trying to find the perfect chip. It has to be thin and crisp but not too thin so that it's all crunch and no potato flavor. It has to be salted but not salty but also not under salted. Above all, it can't be greasy. The last time I bought Kettle Chips, at the bottom of the bag there was literally pools of grease - enough that I could have poured it out. But these are air fried so I gave the brand another try. I have found my perfect chip. Now I have to hope for the day they lower the calories. I could just eat less but that will never happen.

08-03-2026No question, these have less fat than the Amazon brand chips (which Wirecutter rated very highly). 6 grams vs 10 grams. That also means lower calories (130 vs 160) Of course, that means more carbs. (18g vs 15g) But the big surprise is that these have more salt. (220mg vs 135mg). This surprised me a lot, because they tasted less salty. Or maybe equally salty. I did not do a side by side comparison. I ate the Amazon chips more than a month ago. I do love the jalapeño flavor but they will have to be a very occasional treat.
